Brian Katulis is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress (“CAP”), a progressive public policy research and advocacy organization. CAP is dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans through bold, progressives ideas, as well as strong leadership and concerted action. Mr.Katulis’ work focuses on U.S. national security policy in the Middle East and South Asia. He has served as a consultant to numerous U.S. government agencies, private corporations and nongovernmental organizations on projects in more than two dozen countries, including Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen and Egypt. From 1995-1998, he lived in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Egypt where he worked for the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs. Mr. Katulis received a master’s degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School for Public and International Affairs and a B.A. in history and Arab and Islamic Studies from Villanova University.
