DESCRIPTION:August 20-22 ● Drop off at 8:00 AM on 8/20 at HNT and pick up at 5:00 PM at HNT on 8/22\nCalling all 6th through 8th grade students at HNT and in the community to join us for our 5th annual Becoming a Leader Trip to Camp Solomon Schechter! This trip focuses on the B’nai Mitzvah journey\, both before and after\, and how it relates to the coming of age experience on a personal level. For students about to become a B’nai Mitzvah and for students who have already experienced this meaningful rite of passage\, this trip is an opportunity to combine Judaism\, ecology\, and leadership in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. When you are back to school shopping with your kids\, put an extra set of items in your cart. We encourage you to use this opportunity to educate your kids about other children 7 miles from HNT who struggle to have the basics we sometimes take for granted. Please use the list on page 7 of the Summer HaKol as a guideline\, with items needed in the largest quantities at the top. \nVolunteer to help assemble backpack supplies on August 21 at h-nt.org/volunteers.
