DESCRIPTION:During this time when houses of worship in our state are not allowed to join together in person for prayer\, we have moved all of our prayer services to an online format. DESCRIPTION:RSVP at https://bit.ly/3ejDg91 \nWithin the context of the COVID-19 pandemic\, the tens of thousands of agricultural workers who harvest and process Washington’s bounty of crops have been designated “essential workers”. While the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the “essential” nature of the agricultural labor that feeds us all\, it has also exposed the risks assumed by the largely immigrant workforce that provides that labor. \nThe recent deaths of multiple workers exposed to the virus while providing Washingtonians with fresh produce emphasizes our need\, as direct beneficiaries of this ‘essential’ labor\, to raise our awareness of the lived experiences of our state’s agricultural workers that the divide between rural and urban/suburban communities has left many of us naive to. \nWe invite you to join the conversation naming the current inequities in our agricultural system and envisioning what we can do to advance justice within that system\, featuring Community to Community Development\, a women-led grassroots organization dedicated to food sovereignty and immigrant rights. \nThis event is being presented by a Seattle/Eastside inter-faith cohort\, including:\nFirst Congregational Church\, Bellevue\nFauntleroy Church\, UCC\nFirst United Methodist\, Bellevue\nHerzl-Ner Tamid Conservative Congregation\nMuslim Association of Puget Sound-AMEN\nMuslim Community Resource Center\nWallingford United Methodist Church\nUnited Methodist Church of Bothell
