DESCRIPTION:Rabbi Samuel Klein is Director of Jewish Engagement for the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. Samuel was Chief Jewish Officer of the Jewish Community Center San Francisco and Executive Director of the Bronfman Jewish Education Centre\, Montreal. He holds Masters degrees in Theology from Cambridge University and History of Art from University College London and trained as a teaching artist at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Prior to his move stateside\, Samuel was director of a contemporary art gallery in London and a specialist at Sotheby’s in Hebrew rare books and manuscripts. A lecturer and writer on religion and the arts\, Samuel has taught Jewish thought and philosophy in a variety of community settings including\, synagogues\, JCCs\, and Federations nationally. \nRabbi Klein will give the d’var during Friday night services and lead a study session after the Saturday kiddush luncheon around 1:00 PM in the Skolnick Board Room

DESCRIPTION:Yoel Sykes is a musical spiritual leader in Nava Tehila\, a Jewish Renewal community which focuses on creating innovative and engaging prayer spaces where people feel comfortable to come as they are. Yoel is known for composing new melodies to traditional prayers now sung throughout the globe. \nThursday\, March 14: 7:00 PM Chorus Training: Yoel will train a small chorus to stimulate singing within the congregation.
