DESCRIPTION:As a member of Congregations for the Homeless\, which strives to mitigate the pain of homelessness by providing meals and basic needs\, HNT aspires to provide at least two monthly meals for 100 men. \nHow you can help: \n\nHelp prepare one or more dishes for the meal on September 5\, captained by Nathalie Bentov\nThis is a great activity for families\, friends\, your book group\, or chavurah\, and HNT will provide organizational support. It’s all done potluck-style with food you can buy or make at home. Due to COVID-19 meals are currently contactless drop-off only. You choose the date that works for your group. Please email ShelterMeals@h-nt.org to volunteer to organize a group of friends to drop off a meal.

Let’s work together to fill the food pantry shelves and provide families in need with healthy\, nutritious food options.   \n Please donate only the specific items JFS has requested: nut butters\, canned vegetables or fruit\, canned soup\, canned tomato\, canned tuna or chicken\, dried pasta\, toilet paper\, cereal\, oatmeal\, rice\, and kosher foods. Please no glass containers\, opened packaging\, perishable\, or expired foods. Acme Food Sales and the Estate of Valerie Polack are generously contributing a matching gift\, pound for pound. Drop off in the bin outside the Upper Foyer by September 26\, or stop by our drive-by on September 24 and volunteers will unload your trunk and give you a sweet treat to say thank you! \n We need many drivers to deliver our food donations to the JFS warehouse in Georgetown on September 26!
