DESCRIPTION:As a member of Congregations for the Homeless\, which strives to mitigate the pain of homelessness by providing meals and basic needs\, HNT aspires to provide at least two monthly meals for 100 men. \nHow you can help: \n\nHelp prepare one or more dishes for the meal on November 7\, captained by FRS 2nd & 3rd Grade\nThis is a great activity for families\, friends\, your book group\, or chavurah\, and HNT will provide organizational support. It’s all done potluck-style with food you can buy or make at home. Due to COVID-19 meals are currently contactless drop-off only. You choose the date that works for your group. Please email ShelterMeals@h-nt.org to volunteer to organize a group of friends to drop off a meal.

DESCRIPTION:Monthly Second Sunday Lunch for 25-30 Women In Need \nCaptained by Nadine Strauss \nThis facility acts as a permanent address for so many in need for social services\, job applications\, etc… as well as providing access to showers\, laundry\, computers\, and referrals for needed services. We provide a hot lunch for 25-30 which can be dropped off Friday afternoon or Sunday morning by 10:30 AM at the day center in the U District\, or arrange an earlier drop off with Nadine.
