SUMMARY:The Shalom Project
DESCRIPTION:Students from the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church will be joining our 3rd – 5th grade on March 6 for the Shalom Project. The Shalom Project is generously funded by the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. Tshishiku Henry from Jewish Family Service will be with us on Zoom to tell his compelling firsthand account of resettling in the Seattle area after being a recent refugee. Tshishiku is a case manager at JFS for their resettlement program. We will also have a speaker on Zoom from the Refugee Women’s Alliance. We are adopting refugee families and would appreciate your assistance in collecting household items. We’ll be meeting on March 6 but it’s not too late to support this important resettlement effort. Please help contribute by filling out this form and signing up: h-nt.org/refugees
