DESCRIPTION:As a member of Congregations for the Homeless\, which strives to mitigate the pain of homelessness by providing meals and basic needs\, HNT aspires to provide at least two monthly meals for 100 men. \nHow you can help: \n\nHelp prepare one or more dishes for the meal on May 2\, captained by FRS K-2nd Grade\nThis is a great activity for families\, friends\, your book group\, or chavurah\, and HNT will provide organizational support. It’s all done potluck-style with food you can buy or make at home. Due to COVID-19 meals are currently contactless drop-off only. You choose the date that works for your group. Please email ShelterMeals@h-nt.org to volunteer to organize a group of friends to drop off a meal.

DESCRIPTION:Co-sponsored by HNT \nJoin us at the Jewish Coalition for Immigrant Justice NW’s 3rd annual Share Our Harvest Fundraiser benefiting the Fair Fight Bond Fund. We aim to raise funds in solidarity with the WA Immigrant Solidarity Network to secure the release of immigrants from the NW ICE Processing Center. This is a valuable deportation defense tool\, as immigrants have a 70% greater chance of winning their cases if they are bonded out of detention. \nOur program includes a keynote address by Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson\, music by Las Cafeteras\, the Jewish Coalition for Immigrant Justice’s first Tzedek Award\, Rabbi Seth Goldstein’s discussion of Shavuot\, testimony from an asylee formerly in detention\, and background about the Fair Fight Bond Fund. \nRegister at http://bit.ly/ShareOurHarvest
