JFS now asks only for specifically requested items for pre-packaged food bags which can be distributed by limited staff and volunteers while taking safety precautions. DESCRIPTION:While we may not gather this year for High Holiday services\, that does not mean we cannot “show our faces” to each other as we create a professional video stream. The High Holidays are a time when we see so many people we may not see all year; greeting each other is an important part of our shul community. Although it will look a little different\, these messages of love and support\, which are even more critical this year\, will be included. During the live-streamed services\, we will be including short pre-recorded videos of you\, our members\, that will be sprinkled throughout the holidays.\n\nHere is how you can participate:\n\n\n\nCreate a short high holiday message video (no more than 10-15 seconds)\nYou can use your phone\nYou can use props (e.g.: apples and honey)\nKids can draw pictures to show\, families can share a quick shout out\, whatever you want\n \nDownload a sample video here (but please record in landscape mode – turn your phone to the side)\nEmail the video to Audrey Covner: audcov@msn.com no later than September 8

DESCRIPTION:This year’s High Holiday services will look a little different from others; although things will be virtual\, we do not want to leave out a key HNT tradition: the end of Yom Kippur Flashlight Parade!\n\nWe would like families to create a short video of themselves that we will use to produce a “virtual parade” which will be shown at the end of Yom Kippur.\n\n\nHere is how you can participate:​​​​​​​\n\n\n\n\nCreate a short video (no more than 10-15 seconds) of kids holding a flashlight\, a Havdalah candle or some other light source walking around the house\, down the stairs\, or some other part of your home.\nYou can use your phone to create the video (please record landscape – turn your phone to the side)\nIf you can\, create the video in the dark (or as dark as will still show the kids) with the light shining.\nEmail the video to Audrey Covner: audcov@msn.com no later than September 15
