SUMMARY:Seder-To-Go Pick-Up
DESCRIPTION:HNT is offering a limited number of kosher Passover Seders-To-Go that will each serve 2 people\, including 2 chicken entrees (full menu listed on order form). Pick-up and delivery options are both available. These meals are available to ALL – regardless of whether you consider yourself high-risk. Order at h-nt.org/seder. \nIf you selected pick-up on Wednesday\, April 8:\n1. Before you leave home: please ensure there is space in your trunk\, and bring a piece of paper with your last name written in big letters.\n2. Arrive at HNT between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM\, and drive down to our ‘drive-thru’ under the lower portico (Feinberg Social Hall level entrance). You may be joining a line of cars. Please remain in your car.\n3. Hold the paper with your name up against your car window (do not roll down your window).\n4. Someone will check your name off the list and retrieve your seder. If your trunk can be popped from your driver’s seat\, please do so (otherwise they will open it for you).\n5. A gloved volunteer or staff member will place the seder in your trunk and shut the door.

The rationale used from a halachic perspective for allowing the formation of a minyan remotely is based on a source in the Talmud that indicates people who can see and hear each other can count together for a minyan\, even if they are not in the same place. If you are with us on the video connection\, you can recite kaddish and fully participate in all parts of the prayer service. These rules aren’t intended to be for the long run\, they are an emergency measure because of these extraordinary times.

If you have a lot of background noise\, or are having a side conversation\, please mute yourself. While normally we encourage people to sing loudly and join our voices in prayer\, that doesn’t work so well on Zoom – so please join in with a lower volume than you would use at the synagogue\, so everyone can hear the prayer leader. For some services we will have co-hosts assigned who will mute anyone isn’t muting themselves whose volume or background noise is disruptive to others. \nWe invite you to have some wine or grape juice ready at home to join us for kiddush at the end of the services (both Friday and Saturday). We will also leave the meeting link open after services on Shabbat if people want to socialize or virtually have lunch together.

It may prompt you to install an app. Allow a couple of minutes for the procedure the first time you use Zoom.\nYou can use a landline to have an audio-only connection by dialing +1669-900-6833\,\,814064429#\n\nFor a simple video describing how to join a Zoom gathering\, visit https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-How-Do-I-Join-A-Meeting- \nIf you run into further problems trying to use Zoom\, please email ravbarry@h-nt.org before or after Shabbat and he’ll either try and talk you through it or get a volunteer to help you. The rationale used from a halachic perspective for allowing the formation of a minyan remotely is based on a source in the Talmud that indicates people who can see and hear each other can count together for a minyan\, even if they are not in the same place.

SUMMARY:Virtual Morning Minyan
DESCRIPTION:Scheduled Minyan Service Times: \n\nSunday morning daily minyan: 9:00 AM\nMonday to Friday morning daily minyan: 8:00 AM\n\nHow to Connect: \n\nYou can join our Virtual Services on any desktop computer\, laptop\, tablet\, or smartphone at https://zoom.us/j/814064429. You can try the Zoom link at anytime to test if your setup is working. \nMaking a Minyan: \nPlease note we need to have a two-way video and sound connection to be able to count people for a minyan\, so please have your video and sound on if you want to be counted. These rules aren’t intended to be for the long run – they are an emergency measure because of these extraordinary times.

SUMMARY:Virtual Shabbat Services
DESCRIPTION:Scheduled Shabbat Service Times: \n\nFriday night: 6:00 PM to approximately 7:00 PM\n– The April 3 service will include Birthday Shabbat\n– The April 24 service will include Anniversary Shabbat\nSaturday morning: 10:00 AM to approximately 11:45 AM\n\nHow to Connect: \n\nYou can join our Virtual Services on any desktop computer\, laptop\, tablet\, or smartphone at https://zoom.us/j/814064429. These rules aren’t intended to be for the long run – they are an emergency measure because of these extraordinary times. \nWhile we need to have a two-way voice and video connection for the parts of the service that require a minyan – kaddish\, the barchu\, and the kedushah – it’s very distracting when either people are singing louder than the cantor\, or there is a lot of background noise.
