Through video lectures\, interviews\, and textual sources\, this curriculum examines the forces dividing Israeli and American Jewry today\, including nationalism\, antisemitism\, and identity politics; and\, it imagines new conceptual frameworks that can help sustain and grow the story of our people for a new millennium. \nWhen you register for the class\, you will be given a password that gives you access to the Hartman videos and source material. \nFor each class\, we will ask you to watch the main 30-minute Hartman video lecture in advance. DESCRIPTION:We are collecting the items below\, which cannot be purchased with food stamps\, for an intensive three-day drive supporting the critical needs of the refugee community. Unemployment among refugee families has skyrocketed and JFS is trying to fill the needs for almost 60 families\, a six-fold increase from what is typical. Please drop off a bag or two of items in the bin outside the Lower Foyer doors. We are collecting:\n• Full sized shampoo & conditioner\n• Liquid hand soap & bar soap\n• Liquid laundry detergent (small or medium sized)\n• Toothpaste & toothbrushes\n• Paper towels\n• Toilet paper\n• General cleaning spray\n• Liquid dish soap\n• Sanitary napkins/maxi pads (no tampons please)\n• Sponges\n• Dish rags/towels \nNadine’s Birthday Party From Your Car\nFriday\, May 22 / 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM \nHelp celebrate Nadine’s birthday by donating the above critically needed items for refugees.
