DESCRIPTION:Less than a 24-hour supply is all that remains on the near-empty shelves of Bloodworks NW. Donations are short 700 units a week compared to the need\, and Bloodworks NW has declared a “Code Red” alert to combat the ongoing significant blood shortage affecting local hospitals and trauma centers. \nDonating blood is an essential and encouraged activity critical to sustaining community healthcare by providing a stable blood supply to patients at area hospitals. This one-hour donation appointment is a safe and essential action\, adhering to all social distancing guidelines. Additionally\, no walk-ins\, guests\, or people under age 16 are permitted onsite.
