Fifty years ago, the Christian world revolutionized its relationship with the Jewish people by rejecting the teaching of contempt, the belief that Jews were to be blamed for the death of Jesus. This led to a dramatic decrease in Christian antisemitism. But, in recent decades, antisemitism has once again been on the rise both in our local community, and globally. In our age of polarization, the profound transformation of Jewish-Christian relations can serve as a model for all of us.
