The Flying Camel (Ha-Gamal Hame’ofef)
A 1994 Israeli drama/comedy in Hebrew with English subtitles
Surprising similarities bring together a Jewish professor an Arab garbage collector and a young Italian nun in a junk yard. Together the threesome decide to rebuild a statue of a flying camel that was the symbol of Tel Aviv’s renewal at the 1934 Eastern Fair, in this charming celebration of the differences that distinguish us and the friendships that emerge when we accept them.
