In the course of Jewish history, we have often been refugees who faced and overcame great hardships to create a new life in another land. On this Shabbat, Jews across the entire country will be commemorating our past and discussing critical issues pertaining to refugees today. During services, Rav Barry will talk about Jewish perspectives and values which inform our actions regarding the challenges refugees face today.
We regretfully must postpone the presentations by Talya Gillman, Outreach and Education Manager of Jewish Family Service Seattle, including the afternoon discussion.
