Scholar-in-Residence with Dr. Rachel Korazim

February 9, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

The Poetry of Uri Tzvi Greenberg Featuring Musical Guest Gilad Efrat

Join Rabbi Herber and renown Israeli educator, Dr. Rachel Korazim, for an engaging and provocative virtual Scholar-in-Residence session on the great Hebrew and Yiddish poet Uri Tzvi Greenberg. His poetry is unique and not easily accessible, yet extremely important. Greenberg is the voice of prophetic visions and lamentations of the destruction of European Jewry and its revival in the Land of Israel. Our session will include an exploration of the times and days of our poet. Of all the poets of the modern State of Israel, Uri Tzvi Greenberg is the most complex and challenging one. In order to make the most of Dr. Korazim’s presentation please be sure to review these materials before the session. Following Dr. Korazim’s presentation you’ll be treated to a concert performed by musical guest, Gilad Efrat.
