Rabbi Andrew Sacks, Director of the Rabbinical Assembly in Israel, will be with us the Shabbat of November 22 to 24. On Friday night during services he’ll speak about “Religion in Israel: It’s Not Black and White.” On Sunday morning over bagels he’ll speak about “Jews in Communities Where You Never Thought Jews May Be Found: Uganda, the Amazon, China, and More.”
Rabbi Andrew Sacks made Aliyah, from the Philadelphia area in 1987. Since that time he has been a leading voice on behalf of religious pluralism and tolerance in Israel. He serves as the director of the Rabbinical Assembly in Israel, the organization of Masorti/Conservative rabbis.
