This special program, featuring a discussion led by Rabbi Leff, is designed to get us ready for the High Holidays by deepening our connection to others as well as to God.
We will be watching the 1991 movie “Defending Your Life,” starring Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep. The movie depicts a process very similar to the story we tell about what happens on Rosh Hashanah: a process of judging your life, with a prosecutor, defense attorney, and film clips of your life. We’ll have a discussion after the film on connecting the movie to our High Holiday themes, and Selichot services will follow the discussion.
