S’lichot services will follow the film screening and discussion of The Insult, a film about a seemingly minor incident in Beirut between a Lebanese Christian and a Palestinian refugee that escalates into an explosive trial that divides the two communities. The film provocatively portrays just how easy it is for hurt feelings to get out of hand and what makes it so difficult to forgive. This special program, featuring a discussion led by Rabbi Rosenbaum, is a great introduction to the spiritual work we all need to do to prepare for the High Holidays.
