In Hebrew Kadima means forward, or onward. Our action-packed middle school (6th – 8th grade) youth group meets monthly for social, spiritual and social action-based events. Whether our middle schoolers are participating in a social action project or hanging out with friends, they always have a good time all while preparing for leadership roles in the high school youth group, USY. Past events have included cooking and serving meals to homeless teens, Kadima Iron Chef, HNT and the Harry Potter Sleepover, and a whirlyball tournament. 6th and 7th Grade Kadima meet once a month for a pizza party and social hour in the Youth Lounge.
Kadima Membership is required for all regional events.
USY meets several times a month for events focusing on Israel, social action, and current hot topics. USY board members plan and execute creative and engaging programs. Past events include a Mariners game, Seattle Children’s toy donation program, pumpkin patch visit, regular Shabbat dinners, and an annual Hanukkah party. USY at HNT presents high school students with many opportunities for post-b’nai mitzvah engagement by staying connected with their peer community in a fun and socially relevant manner.
